2 kilometres outside Castronovo we came to one of the Traditions of Pilgrimage.

The Halfway Point - from Palermo to Agrigento !

We remembered - as we always do - a song composed by Gerry Goffin & Carole King.

 (Yes; that Carole King !!)

Plenty have recorded this Top Tune.

But the Definitive Version was released in 1961.

The singer died in 1983. He was just 43.
