A climb of 600 metres up to Foncebadon; at 1,440 metres around 100 metres higher than Ben Nevis!
But when you get to the top ... the views make it all worthwhile:

Ric, We love reading your blog. Steeped in the history of Spain and thinking the miles/KM your old boots have covered as you continue on your pilgrimage. We wonder about saying farewell to an old friend. Is it literally 'an old friend'? Or maybe a dog who has walked along with you and you have taken pity on those big brown eyes and inquisitive looks.... or maybe a feline friend or a horse you have followed. We shall have to wait until your return to fill in the missing bits, or as Jobs would say, joining up the dots. Here is to you Pilgrim Piper #neveralone. The Woody Crew x
