Very good to meet up with Kate & Nigel for dinner in Pietralunga. 

More about two of my very longstanding friends in tomorrow's Blog. 

After a good overnight stay at Hotel Tinca, there was no need to rush off as the weather forecast improved as the morning progressed. 

Leaving at 08.50 meant that we only had rain for about an hour. 

An uphill to Monte Martini gave us one last look back to Pietralunga:

Then it was on to the flat & wide rich agricultural Chiasco Valley:

A drink stop just after Monteleto by a familiar figure:

A long flat walk thereafter meant that by about 15.45 we had reached Gubbio, one of Umbria's most historic & beloved hill cities:

After two long walks - the only consecutive days each of 26+ kilometres - it is time tomorrow for Rest Day No. 2!!
