A wonderful sunset to remember my evening in Arrone:

OK; the Pizza shop ran out of dough & had to shut early!

From the balcony of La Loggia Sur Nera the moon was still visible to the West as the sun was rising in the East:

Along the valley floor we could see the usual hill top villages:

Amazing cloud formations too:

We stopped for coffee & paninis at the bottom of Cascata delle Marmore, the world's tallest man made waterfall.

A construction project begun in the 3rd century BC, it was finally "fixed" in the late 1700s!!

Unfortunately the Cascata was closed today.
But 2 friends of mine Kate & Nigel visited just last week when the water was in full flow:

We climbed up to the top of the Cascade.
Amazing views back up the valley to Arrone:

Then it was a stroll along the side of the Canal.

We soon could see Lake Piediluco:

Time for a Grande Birra down by the Percurso Lungalago - the boardwalk:

Then a short walk to Hotel Miralago.

Tomorrow is a Rest Day!
